Why Pursue Research as a Student?

Working on a research project gives high school students valuable career experience while exploring their interest in science and engineering. When doing research, students learn specific knowledge about their field of interest, how to use technical tools, how to identify and solve complex problems, and how to write and present their work. As students apply to colleges, research can make their application stand out. As students get into college, having done research in high school can make it easier to get opportunities early in college and set you up for success long-term.
